A special program on the life and legacy of Dennis L. Holland: the Man, his Ships and a Legacy of History. Journalist Eric Longabardi and Dennis Holland Jr. the only son of the late longtime Newport-Mesa resident Dennis Sr. will present a program that will feature the life and times of master shipwright and local resident Dennis L. Holland. Holland’s iconic life was centered around building, restoring, and preserving boats, autos and other pieces of history. The centerpiece of that story is the 118-ft tall ship “The Pilgrim of Newport” that Holland built himself in his front yard over a 13 year period between 1970-1983. Holland passed away in 2014 after a long battle with cancer.
All are welcome at this free lecture. No RSVP required.

Those heels are no good on boat decks. It’s bare feet or boating shoes only when boarding the yachts. It’s a great opportunity to go shopping for Super Cute Boat Shoes!
Black sole shoes leave scuff marks. Wear proper boat shoes or expect to take off those hard soles before boarding each boat.
