NEWPORT BEACH - Jan 10, 2016
Spring is in the air and it’s time for proud boat owners to show off their hard work and love of wooden boats. The Balboa Yacht Club will be the must-go-to place for seeing 40 of the best wooden hull boats on the West Coast Saturday, June 4, 2016. Sail, power, and human-powered “show-ready” boats of all sizes are eligible and those accepted will be displayed in the water and on land at the bay front club.
Call (949) 673-3515 for more information or download an application from the website bycwoodenboatfestival.com. The “early bird” application deadline is 5:00 pm PST, Friday, March 18, 2016. Save $50 by entering on time. The application fee is $100 after March 18th.
Space is limited, so don’t miss the deadline. The committee will make its selection by April 15 from the completed applications and invite the chosen boats to participate in the fun-filled event.
In addition to the extraordinary showcase of exceptional boats, there will be music, food, marine art, and nautical craftsmanship and wares on exhibit.
Admission is free to the public who can park off site and ride the complimentary shuttle to the festivities.

Those heels are no good on boat decks. It’s bare feet or boating shoes only when boarding the yachts. It’s a great opportunity to go shopping for Super Cute Boat Shoes!
Black sole shoes leave scuff marks. Wear proper boat shoes or expect to take off those hard soles before boarding each boat.
