Saturday, June 10-11, 2017 – Fourth Annual Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival:
The Balboa Yacht Club is the go-to place for seeing 50 of the best wooden hull boats on the West Coast, including legendary 100 foot Electra, Rybovich sportfishing boats, 85 foot schooner Astor, 82-foot historic schooner Curlew, canoes to launches, power, sail and human powered watercraft of all sizes and shapes.
Vote your favorite in each People’s Choice Awards category. There will be live music, food, renowned marine artists, the Knot Guy, and exhibits.
Tickets will be sold to cruise on the historic schooner Curlew. The Festival is from 10 am to 5:30 pm Saturday, with the Heritage Parade Sunday morning at 10:30 am followed by the Heritage Sail By.
Admission is free to the public who park at 1600 Corporate Plaza in Corona del Mar and ride the complimentary shuttle to the festivities on the bayfront at 1801 Bayside Drive, Corona del Mar. Or, ride a water taxi to the event from several points throughout Newport Harbor.
